EPSON announces world debut of new SureColor S-Series printer

Building on the success of its widely acclaimed SureColor S-Series signage printer range, EPSON had announced the world debut of its new next-generation SureColor S9170 during the recent Printing UNITED 2024 at Las Vegas. The new printer is equipped with the first-ever user-replaceable PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead. The eco-solvent printer continues to deliver wider colour gamut, faster speed and better abrasion-resistance for premium signage graphics. This new 64-inch eco-solvent printer leverages an advanced 11-color GS3 ink set, including Red, Orange and an all-new Green, to achieve an expansive colour gamut and faithfully reproduce virtually any colour, delivering over 99 percent Pantone coverage. With the first–ever user-replaceable printhead in its class, the SureColor S9170 delivers consistent high–quality output and unparalleled productivity for small to medium sign shops, print franchises and e-commerce printers.

Offering the same expansive colour gamut EPSON is known for, the newly launched SureColor S9170 leverages UltraChrome GS3 ink, including Red, Orange and an all-new Green, as well as opaque White Ink which can be used on clear or dark substrates to add versatility and enhance colour. The fast-drying ink set in the printer allows for same day lamination and the ability to mix and match ink packs which in turn provide print shops the opportunity to install either 800mL or 1,500mL pouches of any colour to best suit workflow needs. Encompassing a new sleek, compact, modern design with a precise and efficient footprint, SureColor S9170 supports easy upkeep with automatic daily printhead maintenance and integrates with powerful management tools to streamline production, including EPSON Edge Print Pro RIP software and EPSON Cloud Solution PORT for production monitoring and fleet management.
