EPSON has introduced its first expansion of the SureColor G-Series wide-format dedicated direct-to-film (DTFilm) printer line with the SureColor G9060. A big brother to the popular SureColor G6060, this 64-inch SureColor G9060 has been engineered for reliable, non-stop performance, consistent colour and minimal maintenance so that garment producers and print shop owners can focus on creating high-quality apparel and merchandise. The printer has a user-replaceable 2.64” PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead – which supports print speeds up to approximately 32 m²/hr in colour + white – and deploys Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology (inkless nozzle status monitoring), auto-head cleaning, auto cap-cleaning and continuous white-ink recirculation to ensure consistent high-quality output with maximum productivity and minimum waste.
SureColor G9060 also uses a large capacity (1.6L) UltraChrome DF seated-ink-pack system, where packs are cost-effective to order, easy to agitate, quick and mess-free to load. The bulk ink management design also supports film rolls up to 1626mm and width and roll-based production can be delivered ‘in-line’ with a range of third-party powder shaker/oven machines; or the printer can easily be used with an auto-cutter for sheet-based production. Finally, the EPSON Precision Dot image processing ensures the SC-G9060 can produce accurate and consistent prints with bright colour and an enhanced gamut; and the printer features integrated support via Epson’s web-based Cloud Solution PORT service2, providing advanced reporting and costing tools while facilitating automated maintenance routines to reduce downtime.
