Cinepolis targets for 400 screens by 2017

Mexican multiplex cinema chain Cinepolis expects to touch the 400 screens mark by 2017 and is open for inorganic growth opportunities in India to expand faster. The company touched the 84-screen mark last year and said that it’s now the fourth largest multiplex chain in India. The company now has around 500 screens signed at various stages of development and expecting to open 60 screens in eight locations this year alone. The company is investing nearly Rs two crore per screen for this expansion. Such mega expansion plan of Cinepolis will be an added advantage for those signage companies dealing in fabrication of interior graphics & displays and other related activities in cinema complexes.
