Canon has announced the release of the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100, a flagship A2 model from the desktop inkjet professional printer range. Designed specifically for professional photographers and serious enthusiasts, the new imagePROGRAF PRO Series printer is engineered to deliver exceptional photo quality and durability. According to Canon, the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 sets new standards in photo printing, featuring pigment ink LUCIA PRO II, newly developed for the series. Offering excellent image quality with a wider colour gamut when compared to the existing imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 model, it delivers prints with breathtaking depth and detail (up to 2400 x 1200dpi), capturing the subtlest nuances in photography.
The newly launched imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 offers advanced ink technology enabling extensive light fastness and scratch resistance. This allows high-quality printed works to be appreciated and preserved for decades to come with light resistance before fading climed to be up to 200 years. Compared to the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, this newly launched PRO-1100 12-ink pigment system (Photo Black/Matte Black/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Photo Cyan/ Photo Magenta/Grey/Photo Grey/Red/Blue + Chroma Optimiser), offers a wider colour gamut delivering smoother colour gradation and deeper blacks and blues, revealing previously unseen detail and depth, particularly in landscapes, seascapes and challenging shadow areas. This level of detail gives users, from entry-level enthusiasts to those exhibiting their prints professionally, the confidence that the prints will be faithful to the original image.
