Bakery chain Ovenfresh plans to double its outlets by 2014-end

Ubiquitous Foods in Chennai, which runs bakery chain Ovenfresh, is set to expand its operations to the high streets to target the retail consumer. The company, which has focused on outlets in IT parks and office complexes, plans to nearly double its outlets from 28 to 50 by the end of this year. The planned outlets will be 550-1200 sq ft, with the first already operational in the Madipakkam and Velachery neighborhoods of Chennai. Signage experts see such expansion move of the company as an opportunity to grab new in-shop display, branding and other related projects in the sector.
