Arvind, one of the leading textile majors in the country, is now planning to bag Rs 500 cr turnover through franchise routes. The company, which has entered into franchise agreement with The Children’s Place, will invest Rs 150 crore to open 50 stores of the US brand across the country in five years. To Arvind, the Indian kidswear market has a huge opportunity. Right now it is fragmented and dominated by local players and the company wants to be a dominant player in kidswear space.
