Kavalan, a manufacturer 100 percent clean, lightweight, PVC-free banner materials, is set to announce its latest banner range that has completed LCA processes will showcase at PRINTING United Expo in Orlando, Florida, scheduled from October 22-24, 2025. There will also present its fresh brand identity and showcase its core range of PVC-free media, as well as highlighting the capabilities of its Eco Calculator. Kavalan’s key portfolio includes Sunlight, a lightweight coated banner material suitable for indoor and outdoor applications; Moonlight, a brilliant white banner material ideal for lightboxes and other backlit applications; Butterfly, a double-sided block-out textile material; Spiderweb, a mesh banner material; and Gecko, a coated wall covering material. Kavalan’s banner range is compatible with UV, Latex and UVgel printers and is tear-resistant, flame-retardant and weldable with the same flexibility and tensile strength as traditional PVC-based materials.
As printers and consumers increasingly look for ways to reduce their environmental footprints, Kavalan’s proprietary Eco Calculator offers a way to quantify these, enabling businesses to evaluate and understand the eco-reductions offered by Kavalan PVC-free banner and textile materials based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Updated in 2022, Kavalan’s Eco Calculator enables businesses to measure the overall reduction on human health impact, environmental impact and resource consumption including data relating to Waste-to-Energy (WtE), the process of incinerating waste in order to generate energy and air travel (CO2 equivalent emissions). For example, a UK-based Kavalan customer used the calculator data to measure a 67 percent reduction in environmental impact since going PVC-free with Kavalan three years ago.
