Zund has upgraded its S3 M-800 system, which involves automatic job retrieval via QR code. In the system, an integrated camera captures the QR-code printed with jobs and that enables Zünd Cut Centre (ZCC) to automatically retrieve the matching cut file.In addition, the ZCC system automatically determines the location and orientation of the graphics. In case of distortions in material or print, it automatically makes adjustments to the cut path for a perfect match between cut and print. Also new is Zünd’s Automatic Router Bit Changer. The ARC system comes with a magazine that holds up to eight router bits and during processing automatically selects the correct bit for the material and task at hand, for routing, polishing, and engraving applications involving aluminium, wood, plastics and composite materials.
Zünd will use the Viscom 2015 to be held at Düsseldorf (November 4-6) as a platform to show the improved range of modular material-handling options. The S3 M-800 will also be put up with two different material-handling systems. For applications involving rolled materials, it will be equipped with the Universal Roll-Off System. The Sheet Feeder, on the other hand, is a solution for the loading of sheet materials, including printed vinyl, card stock, carton or foamcore.
