Reliance Retail to open chain of Swadesh stores

Under its ‘Handmade in India’ programme, Reliance Retail has announced the launch of Swadesh, an artisan-only dedicated store format for hand-crafted products, aiming at showcasing authentic handicrafts and promoting the rich Indian art forms. The programme is being spearheaded by Reliance Retail’s handicrafts brand Swadesh. The first Swadesh store is expected to open in the second half of the current year and will house a wide range of products including handmade textiles, handicrafts, agriculture products and other artisanal merchandise sourced directly from artisans. Such boost in the retail domain is an added business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store graphics, designs and such applications.
