Real estate major Cushman & Wakefield plans for 34 new malls in 8 cities by 2020

Mega expansion is going to take place in the retail domain as the real estate major Cushman & Wakefield has big expansion project, setting plan to build 34 new malls in 8 cities by 2020. Hyderabad with 11 new malls will see the highest construction by the deadline while Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru are likely to add eight and six new malls respectively. At about 13.6 million sq f, the new supply will add about 20 per cent to the available mall inventory in these cities. The retail sector has been encouraged by an upward trend in mall space leasing, which was up by 55 per cent during January–September 2017, recorded at 2.3 million sq ft. This new shift of development is a golden opportunity for signage companies whose activities involve in in-shop branding and graphics projects.
