Raymond to open 300 new stores in two years

Textile and apparels major Raymond has set plan for investing a total of Rs1400 crore in a phased manner in its new plant at Amravati in Maharashtra under new growth strategies. The company has made an initial investment of Rs 200 crore for the first phase of the new unit that will produce cotton shirts, linen and denim, among others. In the move, Raymond is embarking on a retail expansion across India with its plan to open 300 new stores slated to be unveiled in the next two years. The majority of the new stores will be in small towns. And this is a golden business opportunity for the signage companies with expertise in in-shop displays, designs and such tasks.
