Onida to roll out exclusive stores in India

Mirc Electronics, promoters of Onida, plans to launch exclusive retail stores both company-owned and franchise-operated in India. Some of the stores will be opened by the end of this financial year aiming10-12 stores in the first phase. In north India, the company is opening soon a new plant in Roorkee, UP. The new plant would start off with the manufacture of washing machines and other products later. The company has been aiming for a 20-25 percent growth in the current fiscal, during which it had earmarked Rs 100 crore for ad campaigns, a 100 percent increase over the previous year. The new brand campaign would showcase the thoughtfulness behind Onida’s product features through the eyes of today’s young couples.
