Mercedes-Benz opens workshop at Salem in Tamil Nadu

Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated its first luxury car workshop at Salem in Tamil Nadu. Spread across 15,000 sq ft, the workshop located in Konerikarai has five bays dedicated for maintenance and repair. Sundaram Motors Salem has helped the luxury car manufacturer create brand awareness about the workshop. Mercedes Benz Is looking to strengthen its after-sales footprint by expanding its network. Although double-digit growth seemed a challenge for Mercedes-Benz at the beginning of the year, the company actually is managing to achieve 19.5 per cent growth during the first nine months of the current calendar year compared to the corresponding period of 2016. After all, opening of the luxury car workshop is an added business advantage for the signage companies whose jobs revolve around in-shop branding, graphics, designs and such tasks.
