Media Infotech merges with Insight Communications

Insight Communications, one of the largest channel partners of Hewlett Packard (HP)’s Graphic Arts-Wide-Format Division, announces the takeover of its channel partner Media Infotech for the Maharashtra region. The tie-up came up as both the companies felt the need to combine strengths and merge their operations to make one bigger and stronger entity. With this merger, Insight Communications will sell HP Graphic Art equipments in Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh in north; Gujarat and Maharastra in west; and Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu in south.

Media Infotech is known for pioneering work in establishing Apple Computers, HP Indigo Digital Presses, HP Designjet printers in the western region, currently offering HP sign and display printing solutions across Maharashtra. Sunil Thakeria joins Insight as associate director and will be responsible for strengthening the HP business in the western region. He will also handle some more portfolios after the integration is complete. He conveys, “This move made a lot of sense as more resources and a larger product portfolio will delight our customers with solutions and services for varied applications.”
