Indian Oil Corporation and Savera Group tie up for food stores

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has inked a memorandum of understanding with the Savera Group for opening food stores in IOC’s highway retail outlets across the country. The first such store, Amaravathi Highway Family Restaurant, was formally inaugurated recently at Chengapalli in Tirupur. There are 2,250 IOC outlets (in TN and Puducherry) of which 130 are located along the highways. A source from the company says another 2600-odd fuel stations will be added to this network soon. The new venture of food outlets in IOC’s retail outlets is a business opportunity for the signage players to grab new in-store branding and graphic projects.
