IKEA purchases land for Navi Mumbai store

Swedish home furnishings company IKEA announces the purchase of its first land parcel in Mumbai, which is second one in India, after Hyderabad. The 23 acres site is located in Navi Mumbai on Thane Belapur Road. The store in Mumbai is planned to be around 400,000 sq ft and is expected to have more than five million visitors per year. The company in parallel is evaluating suitable sites in the cities of Bengaluru, Mumbai , Delhi, NCR and it has been planning to open 25 stores in India by 2025. This is indeed a big business opportunity for the signage companies with their activities involved in in-shop displays, designs and related jobs.
