HP cuts prices on ecosolvent inks by more than 35%

India is fast adopting the digital printing technology. The rise of digital printing in key industries such as photo, publishing and labels, apart from signage, has contributed to its growing installation base. The market share for HP 8000, 9000 and 10000 eco-solvent printers stand at close to 40%. The HP Designjet 8000s and 9000s series are primarily targeted for traditional sign shops and screen printers as well as digitally equipped print service providers (PSPs). They are especially ideal for print and sign shops looking to enter into the large format printing market that may be capital constraint but yet expect a robust, comprehensive system. HP Designjet 10000s enables PSPs, sign shops and screen printers to boost their business by producing durable high-quality signage. Till date, there are about 100 installations in India.
