Gerber’s latest Solara Ionz printer

Gerber Scientific Products Inc introduces its latest technology UV inkjet printer Solara Ionz. This printer is the latest addition to Gerber’s Solara family of inkjet printers. Positioned as the highest-resolution printer in the product line, Solara Ionz prints 14-pl droplets and provides output of 720 dpi. Like its siblings Ionx and Ionv, Ionz features GerberCAT cationic UV inks (CMYK) and Cold-Fire low-temperature curing technology and prints on both rigid and roll-fed materials. Rigid media up to 64”x120” and one-inch thick are supported, as are roll media up to 63” wide with a maximum speed of 319 sq ft/hr.

As Gerber introduces new print technologies or advancement in an existing technology, current Solara ion users can benefit as well through field upgrade packages. Existing users of Solara Ionx or Solara Ionv will be able to upgrade their printers to generate higher resolution output without having to invest in an entirely new printer.
