First Gerber Solara Ion installed in India

Welpac has installed first Gerber Solara Ion UV-curing digital, a true flatbed and roll-to-roll wide-format UV inkjet printer in India at their premises in Bangalore. It produces vivid, flexible, outdoor-durable graphics that are immediately usable. Its advanced GerberCAT cationic inks and patented Cold Fire Cure technology make it compatible with an unmatched wide range of roll and rigid materials.

Solara Ion is built on a robust flatbed platform that provides the best possible foundation for printing rigid materials up to 1”/25.4mm thick and 64”/1.6m wide. Unlike other industry flatbeds that added a simple roll holder, it has incorporated a fully engineered, heavy-duty roll system and a winding unit for printing on roll-to-roll media. It prints graphics at resolution up to 720 dpi with the stunning speed of 639 sq ft / hr in production mode on both rigid & roll-to-roll media.
