ESKO releases new Avant Automation Engine

Automation Engine Avant from ESKO is dedicated workflow software specifically designed for users of large-format digital printers and/or digital finishing systems. It increases throughput on digital printers and digital finishing platforms, while enhancing file management and communication to customers. Automation ties the entire prepress and job process with a conditional workflow system. Jobs are processed automatically, freeing operators from repetitive tasks. They can easily monitor the workflow, intervening when necessary. Avant can also be integrated with MIS, enabling automatic job creation and the submission of job parameters to the workflow via XML data.

In addition, Automation Engine also links to the production floor via Device Manager. Device Manager gives full visibility on job and device status. It also allows planning and has a full feature set to receive feedback for reporting or analytics. Work in progress and the status and queues of all connected devices are clearly visualized on screen. Operators use an intuitive drag-and-drop interface to prioritize table queues, insert rush jobs and even balance workloads between tables. With Device Manager, operators can manage jobs based on cutting time and material.
