EFI VUTEk organizes successful “Summer of Innovation 08”

Showcasing superwide format printing innovation, and offering attendees a glimpse into the future of the industry – EFI, the world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, recently held a three-day customer open house event in its Meredith manufacturing plant. The event highlighted EFI’s history of innovative “Firsts,” showcased new products and provided insight into what attendees might expect to see from EFI VUTEk in the future.

The open house event included live demonstrations of the new VUTEk DS Series digital screen printer, a new category of high speed digital flatbed printers representing a tipping point in productivity, image quality and flexibility. Visitors were especially pleased with the quality of the four-color images at 1200 dpi and the edge sharpness and crisp type.

“We were extremely pleased with the turnout at this event,” said Chuck Dourlet, vice president of marketing, EFI VUTEk. “This was the first time most attendees were able to see the DS Series digital screen printer in action. Attendees were also interested to learn about other new developments at EFI and were extremely generous with their feedback. In addition, they were able to tour our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities to get an inside look at how VUTEk superwide format printers are built to order,” he further added.
