Big retailers plan to unveil new stores as COVID second wave subsides

Large retailers are back to launching new stores as the COVID second wave infections recede across the country, mobility improves and local markets open up. The brands pick up on construction activity stalled in the June quarter. Retail majors such as Tanishq, Shoppers Stop and Bestseller India, that sells fashion brands Vero Moda, ONLY and Jack & Jones, plan to add anywhere between 10 to 35 stores this fiscal. Prior to the second wave, Tanishq planned to open 35 stores for the year. Meanwhile, Shoppers Stop is set to open 11 stores. Such store expansion move of big retail brands is a new business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in in-store branding, graphics and such tasks.
