After online success, OnePlus goes for brick-and-mortar stores

Having achieved a leading position in India’s premium smartphone segment through its online presence, the Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is now eyeing to strengthen its brick-and-mortar stores in key cities. At the launch of an authorised store at Ahmedabad—the first in Gujarat and the sixth in the country—the company announced that India contributes about one third of its overall global revenues of US $ 1.4 billion in 2017). Currently, OnePlus has two operational large format stores, one each in Chennai and Bengaluru, while the six authorised stores are located at Bengaluru, Ahmeadbad, Kolkata, Pune and Mumbai. The gradual store expansion plan of OnePlus is an added business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store branding projects and such activities.
