German sportswear company Adidas, which sells Adidas and Reebok brands in India will open bigger Adidas stores in the country going forward to give the consumers a better brand experience that is missing from its regular 1,000 sq f stores. As a general thumb rule, the company is planning for bigger and better stores going forward. A 1,000 sq ft store is difficult to tell customers the complete story of the brand. Customers can’t do all the categories as they cannot showcase all the best products. The fear earlier was bigger the store, it will become more difficult to make money. But now Adidas has learned, bigger the store till some point, better the consumer experience, higher the sales and better profits. The company biggest store is in Chennai which is spread across approximately 7,000 sq ft. Adidas’ move for bigger store will be a bigger opportunity for the signage companies whose jobs involve in in-store projects.
